What is ODYSSEY?

ODYSSEY is an Erasmus+ adult education project that helps adults aged 60+ recognise scams, manipulation and unsafe financial situations online and offline. The project runs from October 2025 to September 2026 in Poland and Hungary.

Is participation free?

Yes. The website, online course, videos and workshops are free for participants.

Do I need to be confident with computers?

No. The platform is designed for beginners and for learners who need larger text, calm pacing and simple navigation.

Who runs the project?

The project is led by the Regional Volunteer Centre in Kielce in Poland and implemented together with ICRP in Budapest, Hungary.

How can I join a workshop?

Workshops take place between May and September 2026 in Kielce and nearby areas, and in Budapest. The detailed schedule and registration information will be published on the website and on Instagram.

What should I do if an older relative becomes a victim of fraud?

Contact the bank immediately, secure access, document the incident, report it to the police and avoid blaming the victim. Fraud is designed to manipulate emotions and attention.

Can family members or educators use the platform too?

Absolutely. The project is useful for relatives, carers, librarians, adult educators, social workers and anyone who supports older adults in everyday life.

Which languages are available?

The platform is available in Polish, Hungarian and English.

Do I need to register to use the course?

No. The course is open access and does not require an account.

What is the Stop - Think - Call rule?

It is a short response routine promoted in Poland: stop before reacting, think about whether the story makes sense, and call a trusted person or institution on a number you already know.
